Tattoo Permanency

When a tattoo is applied, ink is injected in the dermis, the deepest layer of skin. Immediately upon insertion, your body’s immune system recognizes the needle’s puncture as a wound and sends phagocytes, bacteria eating cells, to clean up the foreign ink particles being inserted into your body.

The phagocytes continuously eat away at the ink particles, which explains why tattoos fade and lose color over time. However, due to the large size and deep placement of the ink particles, the ink remains permanently trapped in the dermis.

Safe, Fast, and Effective

Laser tattoo removal helps speed up the natural fading process by emitting ultra-quick pulses of light energy onto the unwanted tattoo. The tattoo ink absorbs the light energy, heats up, and shatters into tiny fragments that are small enough for your body’s immune system to flush out. Over a series of treatments, our advanced q-switched Astanza Duality will continue to break down your tattoo.

Laser tattoo removal is the safest, most efficient, noninvasive method for removing unwanted ink. Our Q-switched Astanza Duality laser uses advanced technology to selectively target ink without harming the surrounding skin tissue.
